Quartet

A funny and poignant play by the author of Another Time, The Dresser and Interpreters. Cecily, Reggie and Wilfred live in a home for retired opera singers in Kent, England. Each year, on the tenth of October, there is a concert to celebrate Verdi’s birthday. Jean, a major star in her day and to whom Reginald was once unhappily married, arrives at the home and upsets the equilibrium, by acting like a diva and refusing to sing. Is there any chance that these four will ever sing together again? Nevertheless, the show must go on.
