After Dinner

In a suburban pub bistro on a Friday night three office workers – Dympie, Paula and Monika – are desperately seeking a good night out. At an adjoining table are Gordon, recently abandoned by his wife, and Stephen, looking for something more than the usual one night stand. As the night proceeds, inhibitions and social restraint disappear, exposing the foibles, pain and humour of the characters’ inner lives.
An acutely observed, but tender-hearted account of relationships and behaviour.

The Mousetrap

A timeless tale of “whodunit,” Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap strands seven strangers in a country house during a blizzard, only to discover to their horror there is a murderer in their midst. Who can it be? One by one the suspicious characters reveal their sordid pasts until at the last, nerve-shredding moment the identity and the motive of the killer are finally revealed.

Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap is the longest running show, of any kind, in the world, Running continuously in London’s Westend for over 60 years. It opened in November 1952 at The Ambassadors Theatre in London and moved to St.Martin’s Theatre in March 1974 where it is still running to this day.

Crimes of the Heart

This tragicomedy realtes the story of the three Magrath sisters, Meg, Babe and Lenny who reunite at the Old Granddaddy’s home in Hazlehurst, Mississippi, after Babe shoots her abusive husband. The sisters were raised in a dysfunctional family with a penchant for ugly predicaments. Each has endured her share of hardship and misery. Past resentments bubble to the surface as the sisters are forced to deal with assorted relatives and past consequences of the ‘crimes of the heart’ she has committed.

Quartet

A funny and poignant play by the author of Another Time, The Dresser and Interpreters. Cecily, Reggie and Wilfred live in a home for retired opera singers in Kent, England. Each year, on the tenth of October, there is a concert to celebrate Verdi’s birthday. Jean, a major star in her day and to whom Reginald was once unhappily married, arrives at the home and upsets the equilibrium, by acting like a diva and refusing to sing. Is there any chance that these four will ever sing together again? Nevertheless, the show must go on.
