Urinetown the Musical

In a post-apocalyptic town, somewhere in the Australian Outback, a revolution is brewing. All the water has dried up. Any that’s left in the reservoirs is controlled by the Urine Good Company (UGC), which rations it out to the public as it sees fit. The townsfolk must use public amenities and must pay to do so. Anyone caught relieving themselves outside a public amenity is shipped off to Urinetown… never to return again.

As the water shortage worsens, the UGC hikes up the fees for use of the public toilets. The poor rise up in protest, led by Bobby Strong.
