What’s Love Got To Do With It?

Nefertiti LaNegra may be Queen of the Nile, and the thicc Dutchess of the Thigh Gap, but she didn’t always start out that way. She was born in a small town in the middle of nowhere and by golly – it has taken a lot to get her here: to 2019, to the big city. There have been ups – and an occasional down – so let her take you on a ride as she waxes poetic about growing up a queen amongst those who did not see her glory. Love (letters), sex, race, gender, (popular) song, and dance all collide in this poetic spectacle. When thinking about drag everyone expects a Judy Garland but no one expects a Serena Williams – and that’s where Nefertiti fills the gap.

He’s Every Woman

Starting back when they were two little gays, Justin Clausen (‘The Lady Is A Tramp’, ‘Butch Masters: Man of Destiny’) and Jamie Burgess (’39 Forever’, ‘Adulting’) will take you on a journey through their ‘hairbrush singing years’, re-imagining the iconic GIRL songs that shaped their world-view, and encouraged them both to sing out loud and proud!

So grab yourself some bubbles and nibbly things and settle in for an hour of power ballads, party songs and Proud Mary’s and keep an eye out for guest appearances from Cher and Celine Dion!

Crazy Arms

Crazy Arms – A Few Centuries of Piano Tinkering, is a preposterously zany, musical adventure that spans the origins of the piano from its birth in 1709 through to the 20th century.

With absurd, improvised humour, musical wizardry and incredible stories about the piano and its players, acclaimed writer & pianist, Damon Smith, from critically acclaimed shows, ‘Sun Rising, the songs that made Memphis’ and ‘Mental as Everything’, will perform virtuosic piano tinkering in homage to some of the great musicians that have ‘tickled the ivories’ throughout the ages.

Featuring music and stories from Liberace, Jerry Lee Lewis, Winifred Atwell, Scott Joplin, Dr John, Mozart, Beethoven, Harry Connick Jr, Ray Charles, Fats Domino, Elton John and so many more, you’ll hear finger busting boogie-woogie music, delicate sonatas and huge rock and roll hits like ‘Great Balls of fire’ and ‘Blueberry Hill’.

Suitable for an all ages audience, this unique comedy–cabaret documentary will blow the audiences socks clean off their perpetually tapping feet.

Crazy Arms is pure cabaret, musical magic…don’t miss it!

Rumours from a True Story

Rumours – a mixture of truth and gossip, passed along the grapevine and also the name of one of the best selling rock albums of all times. Fleetwood Mac have been innovators in music for more than 5 decades. Despite perpetual conflict and troubled personal lives, the band continued to inspire generations.

A snapshot into the internal turmoil and legacy which created this legendary super group. ‘Sex, Drugs & Fleetwood Mac’ is an edgy, rock cabaret that focuses on the Buckingham / Nicks era of Fleetwood Mac.

With live music performed by Sweetwood – one of Australia’s premiere Fleetwood Mac tribute acts, this is a show you won’t want to miss!

You’ve heard the rumours. You’ve heard the lies. Now join us as we delve into the mystery of Fleetwood Mac!

I Really Don’t Care

Melania airs some fake laundry.

Starring Kate Yaxley, I Really Don’t Care allows us to spend an evening with the Melania you never knew – unleashed, for the first time, from the bonds of White House protocol (if such a thing still exists in the era of Trump).

Aside from the occasional inflammatory jacket or a word or two on cyber-bullying, she remains an enigma. Is she an almost-innocent bystander, suddenly trapped within the maelstrom of US politics or, alternatively, a self-serving tactician with looks that open doors?

Outrageous, hilarious yet, ultimately, strangely moving, I Really Don’t Care lets you wear ‘that jacket’ for an hour.
