Constellations

What if you could relive the most important moments in your life, over and over, to see how things could have turned out differently?

As heartrending as it is beautiful, Constellations is Nick Payne’s gloriously romantic award-winning hit, whose London Productions earned both the Evening Standard Theatre Award for Best Play in 2012, and the 2022 Olivier Award for Best Play Revival.

Constellations is the story of Marianne and Roland, two lovers whose relationship we explore through the lens of infinite parallel universes. They meet at a barbeque and hit it off, or maybe they don’t. Maybe they go home together, or maybe they part ways. Maybe they say the right thing at precisely the wrong time, or maybe they say the wrong thing in exactly the right way. The result is a rich, compelling, and poignant love story that ponders on the power and preciousness of human connection in a seemingly random universe.

Artefact Theatre Co’s Matthew Cox directs this beautiful new production starring Mark Yeates (Much Ado About Nothing) and Bridie Pamment (The Real Inspector Hound). Constellations is set to be a captivating and intimate night of theatre for anybody who’s ever reflected on a love they take for granted, or one that got away.

Murder Village: An Improvised Whodunnit

It’s Agatha Christie, improvised! Following sold-out seasons at previous Melbourne Fringe and the Melbourne Comedy Festivals, Murder Village is returning to the Fringe for more cunningly improvised whodunnits.

Immerse yourself in the cozy world of a 1950s Agatha Christie novel as Melbourne’s funniest improvisers craft eccentric characters and perplexing mysteries from your suggestions. Any of the village’s suspicious denizens could be dispatched at any moment, and any of them could be the murderer. It’s your secret ballot votes that determine who lives, who dies, and who will be unmasked as the culprit.

In Murder Village, the local police inspector may be incompetent but thankfully there is always an amateur sleuth on hand to sort the red herrings from the tell-tale clues. See if you can solve the crime first… whether you see one show or all of them, no chapter of this critically acclaimed show is the same!

“Completely enthralling… ★★★★★” – Theatre People

“A classic English murder mystery that’s fully improvised and loaded with humour.” – The Age

“The perfect recipe for murder.” – Weekend Notes
